Ezemvelo and NEWF Launch Rhino Ops Documentary Showcasing Groundbreaking Anti-Poaching Efforts
'Rhino Ops', a powerful new documentary that profiles one of South Africa's most successful anti-poaching operations, has been launched by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife in partnership with the National Endangered Wildlife Foundation (NEWF).
The documentary provides an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations of the anti-poaching units working to protect rhinos in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park (HiP), one of Africa's oldest and most important game reserves.
About the Documentary
Rhino Ops follows the dedicated men and women who risk their lives daily to protect South Africa's rhino populations. The film showcases:
- Ground patrol operations in challenging terrain
- K9 unit tracking and detection capabilities
- Air support and surveillance technology
- Community engagement and intelligence gathering
- The personal stories of rangers and their families
