Rhino Horn Use Policy
Our Position on Rhino Conservation
Ezemvelo's Commitment to Rhino Conservation
Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife is deeply committed to the conservation of both white and black rhinoceros. The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is the genetic home of the white rhino, and Operation Rhino, initiated in the 1960s, has successfully spread rhinos from the Park to protected areas across South Africa and the world.
Anti-Poaching Efforts
We maintain dedicated anti-poaching units and work closely with law enforcement agencies to protect our rhino populations. Our field rangers put their lives on the line daily to protect these iconic animals.
Our Position
Ezemvelo supports legal and sustainable approaches to rhino conservation that prioritize the long-term survival of the species while also considering the needs of local communities.
